There are many ways to use these tools as resources, but the main purpose of them is to give you a lot of practice material to apply what you've learned in Unit 1: Sound Capacity. The lesson 15 practice audio contains all 500 of the most common frequency words in German, split up into 30 word chunks. The lesson 16 spreadsheet is one complete list of all 500 words as well, meant to be used in conjunction with the lesson 15 audios.
How to use these tools: Play some of the lesson 15 practice audio chunks, following along with the speaker by simultaneously looking at the lesson 16 spreadsheet and trying to mimic his speech in the spaces between the words.
If you are finding certain sounds that are troubling you, stop the practice audio and use the spreadsheet to brush up on those syllables by clicking on the resources provided for them in the spreadsheet. You can also go back to a sound's page in Unit 1 for more help with practicing it isolation.
You should move on once you are able to accurately mimic around 80% of any set of 30 words.
